Addis Yimer, PhD

Economist, African Child Policy Forum (ACPF)

Dr Addis Yimer is an Economist at the African Child Policy Forum (ACPF) and holds a PhD in Development Economics. He is also a research network member of the African Economic Research Consortium based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Dr Addis Yimer was previously employed by the Institute of African Economic Studies (IAES) as a senior research economist where he was involved in a number of research projects commissioned by international organisations such as the African Development Bank (AfDB), UNECA, UNDP, the World Bank, IFPRI, as well as the governments of Ethiopia, Kenya, and Zambia.  

Dr Addis Yimer has also thought short-term courses on applied macro-econometric modelling for policy analysis at the Central Bank of Kenya and The Ugandan Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRC).  He is a widely published researcher, specifically on African and Ethiopian Economy in referred international journals and book series.
