Director, West Africa, Children Believe

Ms Christelle Kalhoule is the Director of Children Believe, West Africa. She leads strategic growth, program development as well as international and domestic partnerships in Children in west Africa offices in Burkina Faso and Ghana.

Ms Kalhoule served as the sponsorship manager in Burkina Faso for more than five years, before leaving the organization and returning as country director in 2018. In her time away, she held leadership roles at international organizations in Burkina Faso, working with key stakeholders in development, the non-governmental agency sector as well as the donor community. In these roles, she honed her expertise in child protection, education, sustainable livelihood development and new business development. Since July 2020, she has been chairing the Board of Directors of the SPONG (permanent secretariat of NGOs) on behalf of Children Believe.

Ms Kalhoule earned her bachelor degree in foreign languages/English and masters certificate translation/interpretation from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. She also received her Masters in Project Management from Institut Africain de Management in Senegal.
